Paco had a great week exploring the stars in the night sky! On a nice clear night he can see a lot of stars by just looking up. He also has a telescope that he uses to see so much more of what is in the sky. Planets, constellations, shooting stars, and closer views of the moon. Have you ever looked through a telescope? You can use Paco's Lost In Space Galaxy Bottle activity to create your own universe in a bottle! Just grab a few supplies and follow the directions on the worksheet. Have fun and be creative! ![]()
Paco made a special video to show you how he finds Polaris, also called the North Star. When you are in the Northern Hemisphere the North Star can be very helpful because when you find that star you will always know you are facing north. Explorers have been using The North Star to help with navigation for centuries! If it's cloudy or if you're in a big city with a lot of light it can be more difficult to find. Pick a nice clear night with a dark sky and follow Paco's tips. Imagine using the stars to guide you on an exploration. Where can the stars take you?
